              W-VALLEY FLASHING

W-Valley protects your roof at a critical area where two roof slopes form a valley.  Peel & Stick Membrane

Underlayment

1. Start by laying down peel and stick roo ng membrane or felt underlayment along the entire length of the valley and
  over the top of the peak. The roo ng membrane should be wider than the metal valley ashing.

2. Install underlayment or roo ng felt according to manufacturer's speci cations.
3. Position the rst piece of valley ashing at the lowest part of the valley. Cut the bottom edge of the W-Valley and fold it

  down over the roof edge.
4. Fasten the Valley with roo ng nails 10 inches apart along the outer edges; do not nail through the exposed center area

  of the valley ashing. Apply roo ng cement to shingles that overlap the metal valley to keep them rmly in place.
5. Splice successive pieces in shingle fashion. Apply roo ng cement to the lower piece and overlap 10-12 inches. Local

  building codes vary so be sure to check before you proceed.

             CAUTION! Working above grade is inherently dangerous, be sure that proper fall protection measures are in place.

                 When working with power tools and sheet metal, gloves and eye protection are absolutely required.
